The Watson Foundation has been spreading some early Christmas cheer by again helping Social Bite.
For the second year running, the Foundation has made a substantial donation to fund 1000 meals for homeless people to kick start Social Bite’s “Festival of Kindness.”
Its mission this Christmas is to provide 300,000 meals, gifts, and essential items to homeless and vulnerable people.
Josh Littlejohn MBE, Co Founder of Social Bite caught up with John Watson OBE at the opening of the “Tree of Kindness” – a stunning festive addition to Vinicombe Street near the top of Byres Road in Glasgow’s Hillhead.
The Watson Foundation donation was the very first gift and people are being encouraged to give what they can, too.
The Foundation has a long-standing connection with Social Bite going back many years. It has on several occasions supported financially the incredible work Social Bite undertakes on behalf of the homeless.
If you’re in the west end of Glasgow – or at other Tree of Kindness locations in London, Dundee, Aberdeen and Edinburgh – please do come down and bring a gift for someone who’s homeless or vulnerable this Christmas.
Gift donation times are Monday to Wednesday 10am – 2pm and Thursday to Sunday 11am – 7pm
